Love Your Melon is an apparel brand dedicated to supporting the fight against pediatric cancer. During my time here I worked on the Licensing Program supporting our major collaborations with designs that showcased both our brand as well as our licensees. Through many meetings and iterations, we were able to develop some of the highest-selling beanies to be released on our website. Additionally, I worked with the Customs Program team where I redeveloped the mockup templates and delivered more than 50 design requests per day. Tasks included redesigning lower quality logo references, making beanie adjustment, providing all necessary files to client and manufacturing.

“In a new collaboration, the beanie brand has created all-new, Star Wars inspired designs that will continue its mission to help children battling cancer” - StarWars.com
Inspired by a galaxy far, far away….
The Star Wars™ collaboration was announced with Lucasfilms, featuring 24 beanies varying from the iconic logo to BB-8.
Each Collegiate Collection consisted of cuffed beanies, pom beanies, headbands, and dad caps. Each logo, color, and blend variation was meticulously chosen by the collegiate programs alongside LYM. Many drafts and iterations were needed to submit for approval to keep consistency with the college as well as the collection as a whole.
Branding, Identity, Product
Juiced Nutrition is a health and fitness company focused on pre and post workout nutrition drinks. Coinciding with the launch of their latest products and new location, I redeveloped the design identity and packaging based on their request for a clean, straightforward, and energetic overhaul. The shape of an orange became a symbol for the brand as it is clear, versatile, and directly addresses that their staple product is fruit based. Through a combination of a fresh color palette and playful design elements, the redesign reflects Juiced Nutrition’s new energy and push to bring high quality fresh products to their ever expanding market.

The bottle branding approach allows for a vibrant visual, giving the customer a chance to not only enjoy the flavor but also in a way taste with their eyes. A clean and transparent label accomplishes that desired feeling.
Knowing that their logo had many applications it needed to accommodate, I focused on the main elements they would live on. Including an alternate logo that is on brand and carries the same attitude of the main logo gave this project flexibility while exercising and accomplishing their playfully energetic ideas.
Blackeye Roasting Co. is a coffee roastery in Minneapolis that produces ready-to-drink cold brew coffee, setting its sights on bringing cold brew from a somewhat niche, but thriving market into the mainstream. I designed a clean and contemporary coffee cart as well as a collaborative drink identity suggestive of Blackeye’s artisanal influences, that appeals to both the morning coffee connoisseur and the everyday coffee consumer. Visual influences were carried through to the design of the packaging, which uses bold imagery, and also appears in the design of the website, where consumers can directly purchase and subscribe to their favorite brew.

Birch and Body is a soap and lifestyle company focused on Birch extracts that come from “Sustainability Certified” managed and harvested forests in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Promoting clean and health benefits, they are used as an all over bar that is natural and sustainable. I redeveloped their design identity and packaging based on their established logo assets. Using eco friendly packaging and an all natural direction became a visual calling for their brand. I assisted and directed the photo and video shoots highlighting the product and its story.

The packaging allows for a natural, hand crafted feel, giving the customer a chance to not only enjoy the product but also appreciate where it came from.
Knowing that their products come from minimal ingredients I focused on the visual appeal for this shot.
Gearing up to launch their album, Moosh & Twist approached me to create an entire design package with their album title for the guide. The album needed to serve as a promotional tool for their growth in music as well as a useful guide for music labels. Working with Moosh & Twist and their publishing company, I evolved the look by streamlining what this album and tour was about. Showing an evolution of their music led me to create visually engaging layouts and a reorganization of complex text heavy elements. These elements created a promotional album tour which traveled to 31 intercontinental locations, sold compact discs worldwide, and achieved north of 12.5 million online plays.

Apparel photographed in studio and edited in Photoshop. Designs from photos were cropped and placed on the edited final apparel photo.
Designs were influenced by current trajectory and past analytics. I gathered information through sales lists, website information, online interaction, and current trends. All of these factors played into the inspiration and final designs for this line.
Local Wolves is an online and print publication delving into the most creative minds from the world of arts, entertainment and culture. Each issue features in-depth profiles on creatives, focusing on the diverse talent among the many industries of everyday people. In celebration of their October issue, Local Wolves entrusted me with the cover design as well as a 10 page cover feature spread. I completely overhauled the spread design, developing a flexible, new scheme, and an inspired typographic system. Working closely with the editor, we developed this cover and spread from the initial stage of planning and content curation, through to the design direction and layout. This project was completed with equally distributed design elements motivated by the three creative influences of the magazine, features, and myself.
